I love my little girl.</span></div>Hillary and Erichttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18331365486582758262noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3175056840054837236.post-31019260395881782642012-03-21T11:57:00.002-07:002012-03-21T12:18:11.471-07:00The Grass is Always Greener...<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">I ran down to BYU's campus to use their track on Monday and discovered that it doesn't matter whether you are a student or a visitor the parking is always at the furthest point away from where you want to be. It was ok though, I figured I was there to excercise anyway so the extra long walk down to the Smith Field House would be good for me. I was walking through campus and watching the students go from class to class and I started realized that I missed it! I miss being a student! I don't necessarily miss the stress or homework, but I miss learning, going to class and listening to real experts in the field of Marriage, Family and Human Development. I got to thinking about how I was so excited to finally be done with school when I was there, and how I now desperately wish I could go back! Then I got to thinking about how my whole life has been this way. After I realized the track was closed and started making my way back up the RB stairs of death, I got to thinking how sad is it that I haven't let myself be really happy and content where I am at. I have always been looking at the next chapter, and not fully appreciating the current. I have decided that I am going to start living my life to the fullest and appreciate it for what it is. Why wait to get to the other side to realize how green the grass really is right now? It is so green and there is so much to be happy and grateful for. I have decided that every day I am going to do something, find something that I am grateful for, or do something new, actually cook something I see on the food network, serve someone, do something I've been putting off until "later" (whenever later is)...I don't know something to remember how good life is RIGHT NOW. If you have any fun ideas let me know. </span><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">P.S. On a totally different note, I can no longer get my photos to upload so I may be creating a new blog so keep an eye out. Or if someone can tell me why it keeps logging me out when I try to upload pictures that would be wonderful! </span></div>Hillary and Erichttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18331365486582758262noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3175056840054837236.post-68808175057715323102012-02-27T17:18:00.003-08:002012-02-27T17:36:04.198-08:00Like Father Like Daughter<div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuBzivloaA6fU-tBh1pq3GDrnt31bXQntGZxDV6Snh1SaSzxjAJWPfnO8KxGY5Fv73pxiZMrw9OWvCXX1gQ0AF5d3jEOWyyNzaFaY4dauY7_cnOulVMx4vt7S5NtrLPCkA4ysy7nl1BHU0/s1600/IMAG0093.jpg"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"></span></a>Our little girl is definitely her daddy's girl... must be the redhead connection. Eric and I have been having this ongoing "argument" ever since the first day we got married. I like sleeping with a top sheet on the bed and Eric HATES it! (Hate may be an understatement actually.) Anyway, the argument comes up periodically. I like it because I like feeling tucked in all snug AND it helps keep your blankets clean. Eric doesn't like it because he feels claustrophobic. The other night we crawled into bed, I had beat him there and crawled under the sheet. When he crawled in he sighed and said "AHHH! I HATE THE SHEET!" To which I said "I LIKE THE SHEET!" Eric then quickly followed with "Piece of SHEET!" by then I was laughing so hard I almost fell out of bed. How can you argue after that? </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">I am curious what quarky little arguments people have. Does everyone fight over top sheets? Do people really fight over the toothpaste cap too?<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span></span></div>Hillary and Erichttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18331365486582758262noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3175056840054837236.post-36814923470037865502012-02-02T14:48:00.000-08:002012-02-02T15:04:28.506-08:00Just an Update<div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial; ">I wish I had something super exciting to write about...but I don't. We moved down to Orem in January and really have just been busy. Our apartment is finally starting to feel like a home as we get it more put together. It's so nice to have a place of our own again. </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><br /></span></div><div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial; ">Eric's working hard (as always) in school and work. He just sent in the first nursing school application this week. We are still hoping to be accepted into UVU's program. He won't apply until the end of this semester so cross your fingers. </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">I have been busy with Little Miss Harper. It's amazing how blessed we are to have her. She is such a happy little girl. She is starting to smile all the time now, and she loves to talk! She's especially chatty in the morning. It's so fun! We are working on tummy time and while she's not rolling over, she's got amazing control of her neck. (I am her mother-I can be proud of her no matter how small the tasks she's doing might seem to us big people) She's 7 weeks and while it feels that the time has flown by-it's hard to remember what life was like without her. She just fits, and I know that she belongs with us.</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">So that's us right now. Eric, Grandpa Morrish, Grandpa Beal, my dad, Eric's dad, my Uncle David, Eric's brother and brother-in-law-Dustin and Chris, my brother's and brother-in-law-Cameron, Ivan, and Greg all got to participate in the blessing. I guess that tickle bugs are hereditary because they seem to come around whenever my nephew, Parker is around. Our niece and nephews stayed the night on Saturday and came with us to church on Sunday. During sacrament meeting the bugs emerged and attacked Parker. Parker thought this was really funny, and his own tickle bugs came out and attacked me! I leaned over to Parker and said, "Parker, you're tickling the baby!" He looked at me and said, "How?!" I told him it was because the baby is in my tummy and that's where he was tickling me. He looked at me almost like he didn't believe me, thought a minute and then tickled me again. After playing along and giggling a little he said, "Is she laughing?" This caught me off guard, and I thought he was so cute, I said, "Yes, she is laughing!" He then looked at me and said, "But I can't hear her!" I told him it's because she is inside on me, and his older brother Cade said, "Yeah, Parker, we can't hear her but Hillary can feel her!" This about made my whole day! I love those kids and they always are making me laugh with what they come up with. Precious moments with the little guys!</span></div>Hillary and Erichttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18331365486582758262noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3175056840054837236.post-87863809509089706122011-08-09T16:16:00.000-07:002011-08-09T16:54:47.459-07:00IT'S A GIRL!!!<div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;font-size:180%;color:#cc33cc;">It's a GIRL!!!!</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;font-size:100%;">Yup, that's right! We are having a little girl! Totally surprised! I was convinced we were having a little boy, but our little girl was not shy and sure let her mommy know to stop refering to her as a he and him! Our doctors are amazing. Today we met with Dr. Bean. Before he told us he made us promise that we would listen to the rest of the important stuff. He didn't say a word and just typed "FEMALE" on the screen. I was so surprised! I'm pretty sure a "REALLY?!" came out of me. He said, "Were you expecting a boy?" I told him that my maternal instinct must be way off and that I've been calling it a him and he since I found out! He just laughed and said that he's sure she will forgive me. We continued on with the appointment and everything looked good! Her heart and brain, and organs, and EVERYTHING look great! I am so happy that she's is developing healthily and is doing well. While she wasn't shy in telling us she is a she, she wasn't so excited to show us her little face. She was tucked up in a little ball, so we don't have a good picture of her, but we did get to see her little hands and feet - I am glad to report she has all of her fingers! Eric and I are thrilled! We can't wait to have this little girl! However, it's fun having her bump around inside my belly. Eric finally felt her for the first time last night-it's so AWESOME!</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;font-size:100%;">

If you have ever owned a house with an apricot tree you know how much those things produce! She brought her new baby into work, and brought with her a bag of apricots and invited us all to come pick as many as we want! So after work, Eric and I went over to pick some...and to have an excuse to see her brand new baby... and came home with a few bags. My mom has always made homemade apricot jam and I decided that it's something that I would like to keep up the tradition of doing, because if you have had homemade you know that store bought is just not the same!</span></div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><br /></span><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVTu35gNAeh2YjG8nVoQUpSyBUlQGeszmB6R4VMVi8Fy7oyhgqEXC9UR4FtvK2PKxL0mNazpcuipntvkx51YdqwzJA8SjBtrq-i2q57R5fAEozjB8Ffy_P3OYMAaKxletOswn_26mriFbk/s1600/P8040034.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVTu35gNAeh2YjG8nVoQUpSyBUlQGeszmB6R4VMVi8Fy7oyhgqEXC9UR4FtvK2PKxL0mNazpcuipntvkx51YdqwzJA8SjBtrq-i2q57R5fAEozjB8Ffy_P3OYMAaKxletOswn_26mriFbk/s320/P8040034.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5638158687495057698" style="display: block; Cassi, Kobe and their beautiful little girl, Tess, were sealed last Satu</span><span class="Apple-style-span" style=" ;font-family:arial;">rday and then Tess was blessed on Sunday. The trip started with a drive out to Twin Falls, Idaho where they were sealed since the Boise Temple was closed. I wore my church clothes in t</span><span class="Apple-style-span" style=" ;font-family:arial;">he car so I wouldn't have to worry about changing later,</span><span class="Apple-style-span" style=" ;font-family:arial;">but Eric and his dad wore comfies instead. Why do y</span><span class="Apple-style-span" style=" ;font-family:arial;">ou car about what we wore? You don't...but it's part of the story. We arrived about 2 hours early for the session and stopped at the Taco Bell in Twin so the boys could change. Eric changed and we headed out to the car to keep the air conditioning going-who knew that Idaho would be hotter than Utah? We waited a few minutes and then saw Larry walking out of the </span><span class="Apple-style-span" style=" ;font-family:arial;">Taco Bell wearing a white shirt, tie, and his sweat pants...? Apparently, he</span><span class="Apple-style-span" style=" ;font-family:arial;">packed his suit coat, and somewhere in the process f</span><span class="Apple-style-span" style=" ;font-family:arial;">orgot his pants</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style=" ;font-family:arial;">. Thankfully Taco Bell was right outside the mall so we popped into JC Penny's and bought dad a pair of nice church pants-a little more suitable for the temple. My skirt fit when I was standing or sitting but it was just a little tight when I tried to bend over. While we were in the temple Eric had to help me put on socks, and later put my sho</span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">es back on. Eric's cousin, Crystal, works for an OB and had access to and ultrasound machine so she took us to play around with it. We had a blast! We couldn't get a tech to come out so we spent nearly an hour playing on the machine and learned that it does require some skill to utilize it properly and an experienced eye to know what you are looking at. We were hoping to be able to see whether we are having a girl or a boy and while it seems like it would be easy to tell we still have no idea! We are thrilled and cannot wait to add to our little family. It's hard to believe that we are almost half way there! The baby's official due date is December 13th and we are so excited! The doctor's appointments have all gone well so far, a pattern we pray continues, and we will get to have the official ultrasound on August 9th to find out if we will be having a boy or girl...it seems to far away! </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">So far there is nothing super reportable-well other than this being the coolest thing ever! Pregnancy has been pretty easy-not really any sickness, and the exhaustion went away when I hit the second trimester. My belly is getting bigger-slowly, if you didn't know me you probably wouldn't be able to tell I'm pregnant yet, and I haven't felt the baby move yet. But it has a heartbeat, and it likes to kick the microphone when the doctors is listening for it. So it's there and alive and as far as we know healthy and I could not ask for more! </span></div>Hillary and Erichttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18331365486582758262noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3175056840054837236.post-63312209452143408842011-07-17T18:06:00.000-07:002011-07-17T18:18:19.385-07:00Eric's New JobMost of you know that Eric has been working full time while going to school year round, full time as long since he's been home from his mission! He's a hard worker and has done so much for our little family, we decided to take a break and go to Mexico this summer. Mexico was amazing, we had a blast and thanks to that trip Eric took his first much needed break from school this summer term. He was getting all geared up to go back for the second summer term, when we heard of an opening as a Psych Tech at the Utah State Mental Hospital. While Eric had a fantastic job working with troubled teens, that he loves, we decided to go ahead and apply for this position at the hospital. Because he is AMAZING and has had so much experience he was offered the job! This means a little better pay, awesome health benefits, and a little longer break from school as training is pretty crazy the first few weeks. We feel extremely blessed for this opportunity and are so grateful for it! Tomorrow is his first day, so we will keep you posted on how it goes.Hillary and Erichttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18331365486582758262noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3175056840054837236.post-3403405119804372642011-07-17T17:11:00.001-07:002011-07-17T17:54:36.222-07:00This One is For Katherine and Diane<div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial; ">I would be lying if there wasn't a ton to update you all on these days. I never feel like I have anything to write about but thinking back over the last few months we have done a ton, our lives have changed and will continue to do so as time goes on. There are several things, and so I'm going to post them separately. However, this post is dedicated to Katherine and Diane, two of the best friends a girl can have. </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial; "><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial; ">Katherine, Diane and I met in High School. To this day it's hard to say what brought us all together, but some how we all wound up in Katherine's bedroom making the infamous "contention scarves" for our friends for Christmas one year and the three of us just "clicked". From sleepovers featuring midnight light shows, and frizbee at 5:00 am, or sleeping on the trampoline, to late nights at any park just chatting away, to flying kites out of car windows-these are the things that highlighted our high school days. As time has gone on we have been through a lot together, a lot of fun, and a few tough times that life is bound to have. No matter what life has thrown my way these are the girls I knew I could always turn too. We have all grown up now and started to go down our own paths, and though we don't see each other everyday like we used to, every time we gather (especially at our meeting place The Chocolate) it's like no time has passed. Everyone should have friends like these!</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial; "><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial; "></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial; ">Yesterday, I said goodbye to both of these girls. Diane is leaving this coming Wednesday to serve a year and a half long LDS Mission in Chile. Knowing Di she is going to be one of the best Sister's that Chile has ever seen! I am very proud of her, and hope that she loves every second she will be out there. Katherine and her husband, Matt, are moving on to their next big life adventure-GRAD SCHOOL! Grad school will be taking them to St. Louis, Missouri. I am very excited for them, and wish them the very best. Matt has always excelled in school and is bound to rock the program out there. And Katherine has a lot of opportunities out there for her! She has some job interviews already set up that I am sure she will nail and once she gets settled, she'll be so busy with her new life and friends that I'm sure I'm going to be the one nagging her to update her blog more often! </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial; "><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial; ">It's a bittersweet thing, this growing up business. While I will miss these girls a ton and was sad to say goodbye, I am very excited and happy for both of them and what their lives will bring. They both mean a lot to me and I love them as if they were my sisters. Though we'll be states and countries away, I want these girls to know that I will always be here for them, no matter what. And I will always be grateful for their influence in my life. </span></div>Hillary and Erichttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18331365486582758262noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3175056840054837236.post-1305398670126493192010-10-28T17:46:00.000-07:002010-10-28T17:52:07.833-07:00SO BORED!!!<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">SO...I'm in class and probably shouldn't be updating my blog but I am anyway. I already wrote a one page paper for another class, so I'm not that bad, right? My professor is gone and so we have a student teacher. </span><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">Anyway, life has been busy as usual. It feels like there is never enough time to do what I want to-including updating my blog. I have a ton of pictures and fun stories to tell you, so hold on just a little longer! Hopefully I'll get to it this weekend! </span><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">Well the media is working again and we're watching an incredibly cheesy video. Pray that I can make it through this class with out falling asleep!</span></div></div>Hillary and Erichttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18331365486582758262noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3175056840054837236.post-79738109244463433052010-09-26T18:32:00.000-07:002010-09-26T18:50:42.680-07:00Home Remedies<div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial; ">So yesterday out of the blue my throat started hurting-way bad! It kept me from sleeping a lot of the night and then I had a massive headache when I woke up this morning. My mother in law has introduced me to a great home remedy for sore throats so I thought I would share since sore throat season is rapidly approaching.</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">Simply mix this with warm water, and gargle it. I swallow a few sips before I gargle and find almost instant relief from a scratchy throat. Plus this concoction also helps kill the bacteria in your throat. So what is it that is the answer to all your sore throat problems????</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><br /></span></div><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfXHm9VktQGRjIhadMoYEdsfbFZrTPqWbH0h0OY1PU-TAK6b1MkPHgoYTFKNUUZTR5yA8t_7a_127Zq1qkDGqyypdFwPI6NlRQ31RjZTVXfqFSPrWDDEdexybVVJEZ4A-fQbM5oLEU-ZH8/s320/honey300w.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5521402224029926834" /><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial; "><div style="text-align: center;">HONEY!!!</div><div style="text-align: center;"> I don't really like how honey tastes, but it is a ton better than nasty medicine that serves the same purpose, or gargling salt water. When it's diluted with hot water it's not so bad and totally worth it. I think you can also swallow a spoon full of it plain-but that kinda grosses me out. Anywho, if you choose to gargle or drink it I would recommend doing it a couple times a day until the soreness goes away. Hopefully this helps some of you guys out this fall/winter!</div></span>Hillary and Erichttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18331365486582758262noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3175056840054837236.post-58632929377237220552010-09-16T20:03:00.001-07:002010-09-16T20:24:32.913-07:00Old News (but I can't help myself)<div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" >I know that Mother's Day was months ago-but I found the pictures and really wanted to share so here is a little bit of old news. I am so grateful for all the wonderful people in my life...I really couldn't be more blessed. You all mean a lot to me and I want you to know, each and everyone of you, that you have changed my life for the better. I'm glad I get to spend my journey with each of you in it. </span><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">Sweet Dreams.</span></div>Hillary and Erichttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18331365486582758262noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3175056840054837236.post-34243707156223119642010-09-12T17:12:00.000-07:002010-09-12T18:04:33.391-07:00The Solution to All Our Problems...Or Maybe Just One...<div style="text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style=" ;font-family:arial;">So the other night I was sitting on the couch in the living room studying while my awesome husband who had done all the laundry including our bedsheets that day was in the bedroom making our bed. All of the sudden I hear "BERT!!!" (for those of you who don't know this is Eric's favorite nickname for me derived from my other nickname "Hilbert"-don't ask me where it came from, and don't ask him because he doesn't know either haha) "I have a solution to our problem!" I was confused because I didn't wasn't aware that we had a problem. He comes marching out with a big smile on his face and this picture....</span></div><div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkhVu0osP2yO8zliiA58ZJqNqIZ8aY-uCiBuP_j_SMNZ4i5SHy2sEL5aklRTUxkDE4-LEpMPCaWpOwtmTlJ1u1TBwk8KiMTKpY9tAkAXnqKAzf97VMAolfOccDYXda-UOkrOEp7Uv51OJP/s320/Aquarium+048.JPG" style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5516186001567565474" /></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">...Ever since we've been married Eric and I have had a really hard time finding a happy medium between hot and cold. I have always been way too hot and Eric freezes at night, a little backward from the normal couple, right? So, the solution? Eric made the bed so that it's split in half, I get the thinner quilt and he gets the thick down comforter...as seen in the above picture. (You can also see that we really need a bed skirt...how embarrassing!)</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">I knew I married that man for a reason!!!</span></div>Hillary and Erichttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18331365486582758262noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3175056840054837236.post-34807042503330414802010-08-31T17:54:00.001-07:002010-08-31T18:53:40.382-07:00Oh Where Has Summer Gone?<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:small;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">This summer has flown by! We, as always, have been busy. We were both in school so we didn't get to play out in the sun as much as we would have liked (as evidenced by our pasty skin) and we it feels like we didn't see much of each other. Eric was working hard in his anatomy class, I was in school too, and we were both working. Some days we literally saw each other for maybe an hour and that was about it! We had a short break and we did get to spend a little time together and with some friends. Floating the river, at least once, has apparently become a summer tradition. The water is FREEZING but in the hot summer air it feels great-once you go numb :0)</span></span><div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvStozAhjTyuF93vEFxKHusTNTc5ZI8Fl8RFPdRELCYAHknPyXk6wEWtOSoCX_VSCKChNxd0_6MsnxUGWyYQFxGoWVJO9qAWYbrW6s4v2RpVjE3BbkaYqtrHEETH_iZ53g4UK6IApqe8dX/s320/Stuff+057.JPG" style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5511749387249891122" /><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">This was BEFORE we went down...This time we</span><div style="text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:small;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">followed the</span></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:small;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">example of Katherine and Matt and bought water-shoes and</span></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:small;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"> yes they do match!</span></span></div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhD35_4TQgrOupoFD83wr7cWWXxqadcZSxqaR2ig_p4Aakoh65PdGE104l03tK_a8qlkyWnT8Ju-rLLwK5dCT7d62kvc9tMN3NiFbkuBIN1k92NySCAVUVqVZT0BnbIRUcNVW_QQU4ROLgz/s200/Stuff+062.JPG" style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5511749724497581186" /><div style="text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:small;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><br /></span></span></div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0sIaTzq20zxqoq1bDWWqsaKndWs1S3QrAV18deR8JLrUamOztNqDIuWPia6pvQyhzvMVXXG5oa3gkNUfJdpihyGclcDbpuy_atSqBts0geHN13ki0AF5To-Jdyc-Wzw_8pXjQ46xs2n4Z/s320/Stuff+064.JPG" style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5511750814096212050" /><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: medium;">I'm kind of </span></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: medium;">sad that we didn't get a picture of the boats filled with the Asian tourists. Our first problem was that we didn't have internet in our first apartment-so we were at the mercy of my in-laws, friends, and school...but who wants to sit at their computer when hanging out with the fam, or friends, and heaven forbid we have to stay on campus any longer! But we'll have internet in our new "apartment" or better yet garage (which we move into in less than a week!) Second problem is there never seems to be enough time! But I'm going to start making time...in fact I got on originally tonight to post about my hilarious Mother's Day experience, but realized I haven't uploaded the pictures from my camera to my computer yet! Bummer! So even though it will be a week late, I'll get on and post them tomorrow...I think it's that funny!</span><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">Anyway, Eric's home so I'm going to go hang out with him! Much love!</span></div>Hillary and Erichttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18331365486582758262noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3175056840054837236.post-85336181808164205762009-12-21T16:51:00.000-08:002009-12-21T17:26:52.060-08:00What Happened to Time?<span style="font-family:arial;">I know, I know, it's been a long time-but it doesn't feel like it! I guess what they say is true-time really does fly when you're having fun! The last few months have been crazy, busy, amazing, and FUN!</span><br /><br /><span style="font-family:arial;">Eric and I got married on October 17th . It was-well-the best decision I have ever made. Surprisingly, the weekend was super low-stress, well at least for me and Eric. (For my mother, who actually did all the work, she might say differently-THANKS MOM!) The sealing was beautiful...and funny...for those of you who know our brothers, they're big pranksters. Eric's brother Dustin had the brilliant idea to switch his and Eric's wedding bands before the ceremony and got my brother's in on it. So, when the time came to exchange rings, I popped open the box and well, it definitely was not Eric's ring. After a moment of confusion I turned around to see our brothers sitting in a row with huge grins on their faces-we couldn't help but laugh. Other then that, every thing went so smoothly. The reception was really cute-I loved it. It was so much fun to be able to see so many friends and family-I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day!</span><br /><br /><span style="font-family:arial;">Here are just a few pictures...</span><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhG2wg1wjIFfJXkCBg1JCovg8zfEkgPYNAezknyRFcknINFeL22FjCVp5SJqCUKrgN_9XD5_pq1YSE5FNyEe4ufwZ2-Xqpx9cRmjJHMafvXbjdxbM0EBVf5xMt2uLKFqHbX9oRwrJf7fJeD/s1600-h/Our+Family.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; <br /> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";"><span style="font-style: italic;">While we would like to tell you this epic story of how we met-well it just wouldn’t be true. So we’ll stick with the truth and tell you what really happened…</span><o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";">It was Wednesday, May 20th. I was in a hurry to get to work and neglected to do my hair or makeup that morning and pretty much looked like I had just rolled out of bed. It didn’t really matter on most days because typically the only people that come in or out of the office are co-workers who know that you’re not always that ugly, and the FedEx or UPS delivery people who don’t really care what you look like they just want your signature and are gone. <span style=""> </span>Well, I found out that that day was not going to be a typical day when my co-worker and friend, Meredin, stopped by my desk and informed me that her husband was coming to pick her up and bringing three of his friends to meet me. She briefly described each of them but ended with “but Eric is the one I really want you to meet.” Needless to say I immediately regretted the decision of not throwing on some mascara or running a flat iron thru my hair, but then I thought “Why do I care? Things like this never work out anyway.” Before I knew it Meredin’s husband, Steve, came in with three guys trailing in behind him, all of which introduced themselves-I said hello and promptly went back to work and ignored their presence for the short time they were there, and that was that…or so I thought. <o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";">The next day Meredin asked me what I thought. Honestly, I didn’t think much, but I did think that Eric was cute and told her so. Of course she went ahead and told Eric who then asked for my number. After getting my permission (like any good friend should) she passed it on and told me to be expecting a call. I went out to a movie and of course missed his call, and the next morning took the chicken way out and texted him to apologize and tell him that I’d call him later after work. After exchanging a few texts he asked me what I was doing the next day, I said nothing, and waited for him to text me back and ask me on a date…to which I would have had to say no because I don’t believe in asking girls out over text. Well to my surprise he just said “Ok, I’ll call you later and ask you out like a real man should.” This made me laugh-literally out loud-but I didn’t have to say no. He did call me and we did go out the next day on a triple date up to Meredin and Steve’s cabin to go four-wheeling. While there wasn’t really sparks, we had an awesome time. He was super nice and super easy to get along with, but most importantly I found that I was one hundred percent my self with him the whole day. After four wheeling, dinner, games, playing in the rain and hanging out at my apartment, we ended the night with a bowl of Ben and Jerry’s and that was that…or so I thought.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";">The next day he texted me, much to my surprise he didn’t think I was some kind of crazy, and we wound up going to his friends apartment to watch a movie. I was lying on the ground sandwiched between him and his best friend, Brad, wondering if he was going to try and hold my hand-Which he did. While it was a fast move on his part, I remember thinking that I would’ve been disappointed if he didn’t. So, we finished off the movie, and he took me home. After rejecting an invitation to come in, he left…and then called shortly after. He, of course, wished he had decided to stay, but asked me if I would want to go to lunch the next day. Of course I accepted, and we went out for Thai. He dropped me back off at home and headed to work. We got to texting, and he invited me to go with him up the canyon for a picnic the next day after I got off work. What kind of girl would say no to that? Really. <o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";">The next day drug on forever, and I finally got off work. I met Eric at my apartment and left for our adventure up the canyon, after stopping at Albertsons for something to drink (getting drinks is kind of our tradition now…typically it’s a Dr. Pepper or Pina Colada Sobe for me, and a PowerAid for him). We walked up through the canyon and found a little bench a little ways up Vivian’s, where we perched and ate our PB&J’s and gold fish. We sat and talked for sometime and then got back up and walked around hand in hand. I knew he wanted to kiss me then…but I wasn’t so sure I was ready for that, and decided to try and avoid it at all cost. I didn’t really feel like another meaningless kiss and still wasn’t sure how he really felt-and though I was fighting it, I was starting to like him, and didn’t really feel like getting hurt. So we completed our little kiss-less picnic and found ourselves back at his house, getting ready to watch a movie. We chose the most romantic movie there is, that being Anchor Man, and settled into his love sac. I don’t really know what or how this happened, but he kissed me…and it was awesome!-despite the fact that we shared our first kiss with Ron Burgundy.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";">I was headed to California the next day to spend a week with my family. Eric took me to the airport and then waited an hour and a half with me until my flight actually left. We had our first airport kiss and then I was off. We spent the next week texting and talking on the phone when we had time to. I realized that I actually missed him-a lot, and couldn’t wait to get back to Utah to see him again. I got in late on Tuesday night, and though we weren’t planning on seeing each other, he made a trip down to Provo to see me around midnight. He helped me carry my luggage in and I found a bag on my bedroom doorknob. It was full of candy, including my favorite Sour Patch Watermelons, with a note from Eric welcoming me home. We stayed up until about 2 that morning just talking and catching up.
