Oh Where Has Summer Gone?

This summer has flown by! We, as always, have been busy. We were both in school so we didn't get to play out in the sun as much as we would have liked (as evidenced by our pasty skin) and we it feels like we didn't see much of each other. Eric was working hard in his anatomy class, I was in school too, and we were both working. Some days we literally saw each other for maybe an hour and that was about it! We had a short break and we did get to spend a little time together and with some friends. Floating the river, at least once, has apparently become a summer tradition. The water is FREEZING but in the hot summer air it feels great-once you go numb :0)
This was BEFORE we went down...This time we
followed the
example of Katherine and Matt and bought water-shoes and
yes they do match!

I'm kind of
sad that we didn't get a picture of the boats filled with the Asian tourists. They have river
guides take large groups of people in these big boats, and that day there were two big groups of Asian tourists on these things. They were really fun to watch because we all went down in these tubes and here they are in these huge boat things, every time the kids saw the "rapids" approaching they would get super excited and watch us and laugh every time
we got splashed. Then they would go over them and scream and laugh...I guess when you're a kid even little rapids seem HUGE...they were really cute.
We didn't get a picture of them but we did get a picture of this awesome dog. We got out on the side so we could all regroup and this dog swam out of the river and played with us. He was super strong and super fun.
We all made it to the end with only minor bumps and bruises.

It was a ton of fun! Now the break is over and we're back to school! But looking forward to more fun this fall and winter.
